simple verse from a simple man

   Apropos

One last look before you go
A gesture that seems apropos;
A decade passed in time we’d spend
But all that starts comes to an end.

When you arrived a broken horse,
Damaged by a brutal course,
It took some time to gain your trust
But trust you did and trust you must.

Perhaps to reassure the bond
That’s grown between the twain to fond,
Just one last look before you go –
A gesture that seems apropos.
